River Research Program

Both in-person and virtual options are available for the River Research Program depending on the season to offer different options for students with busy schedules. In all versions of the program students will get a chance to learn about important local water quality issues and what Harbor Watch is doing to help track down and mitigate sewage pollution sources into natural waterways. Students will be taught methods for bacteria and nutrient testing in water and be exposed to useful field and laboratory skills, data analysis, and presentation skills.

Lectures last roughly an hour depending on questions and students engagement. Lectures can be signed up for as a one-time class experience or combined with other lecture topics as a series.
