Birthday parties are limited to 16 children with one program add-on.

Pond Study - Did you know you can tell how well a pond is doing by who lives there? If it's spring, summer, or fall, we'll trek down to Earthplace's Frog Hollow Pond. There, we'll use nets and buckets to discover the world of pond critters. We may find tadpoles, dragonfly nymphs, and more! We'll use magnifying glasses to help us identify our animals, and answer the question: Is this a healthy pond? The animals will be returned to the pond before we head back to the building to continue the party. (This program is not eligible for an add-on due to timing.)

Wilderness Survival Party - Do you know what the rule of 3 is? What would you do if faced with a wilderness survival situation? Learn basic skills like shelter-building and fire-starting in this wild birthday party program!

Critter Encounter – If your birthday child is a lover of animals, then this is the party for them! An Earthplace naturalist will talk with you on-site to help choose which animals will be part of the encounter. Once guests arrive, the naturalist will lead the children into the EcoLab to learn all about them. (We ask that no more than four parents attend this program.) We have a splendid variety of critters to choose from, including rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs, pigeons, ferrets, snakes, turtles, lizards, frogs, and hissing cockroaches. (Animals NOT available include birds of prey, crows, and raven. Bats and frogs cannot be touched but may be seen through a small container.)

Scavenger Hunt – This fun scavenger hunt takes you through Animal Hall and Birds of Prey in search of critters of all kinds. Can you find a mammal that eats only insects? An animal without any bones? At the end of your search, you'll get to meet and learn about three different animals!

Nature Detective – A nature mystery is brewing at Earthplace! Grab your magnifying glass, put on your detective hat, and figure out which animal has been causing trouble in the forest. Children will dive into a hands-on wildlife search, solve a microscopic mystery, and use animal tracks and clues to crack the case. Activities may vary depending on weather and age.
