The Nest

Children can be between the ages of 6 weeks and 2 years to attend The Nest.

The only scheduling option for The Nest is 8:00 am arrival and 6:00 pm departure. Monday through Friday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, or Tuesday, Thursday; 12 months a year.

Please see the program calendar for information regarding program closures and holidays.

The Nest has a maximum of eight children, and the ratio of staff to students is 1 to 4.

The Nest program strives for a classroom community where we listen, respect and support our Nest Families. The children engage in developmentally appropriate practices that are play-based so they learn while having fun. We are very loving, caring, nurturing and are responsive to the needs of all of our children. We follow their lead and practice the whole-child approach. We promote and encourage the children to be independent so they have a feeling and sense of autonomy.

Some big picture, specific goals of The Nest program include:

  • promoting independence with feeding, everyday chores and tasks
  • spatial awareness
  • social skills
  • self-regulation
  • language acquisition including sign language
  • problem-solving skills
