Marble was rescued in 2012 after being found along a Connecticut highway, and Moody joined the Earthplace family in 2013 after an injury required the removal of her right eye. Today, these two are a devoted, bonded pair, often found quietly perched side by side.

A simple way to protect owls like Marble and Moody is to avoid throwing food scraps out of car windows. Food scraps attract animals like mice, which become targets for birds of prey. When these birds are so focused on catching their meal, they often fail to notice oncoming traffic. Although the birds at Earthplace survived their collisions, they were deemed non-releasable due to their injuries.

By sponsoring this duo, you help provide the specialized care and environment they need to keep educating the public about their species and connecting people to nature.
