Teen Programs

Teen Volunteer Club

Grades 5+, Tuesdays OR Thursdays, 4-5pm

Teen Volunteer Club offers a fun and supportive environment for connecting with nature. Work side-by-side with our naturalists to learn animal care skills with hands-on training and explore the Earthplace grounds. Weekly activities include animal care, special event preparation, and maintaining the Earthplace private preserve.

Eco Explorers

Grades 5+, Mondays, 4-5 pm

Fall Sesssions: 9/17, 9/24, 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29

 

Develop your passion for nature and science! Guided by our naturalists, study different types of birds, frogs, plants, and even bats. Embark on a new mission each week, gathering information from our sanctuary for use in scientific projects.

Junior Staff

Grades 6 to 12, Saturdays, 10am-2pm

Share an enhanced educational experience with your peers while working with our Naturalists! Supplementing the school science curriculum, this program provides a solid base in the natural sciences through interactive learning and hands-on experimentation, as well as volunteer work. Participants will volunteer in animal hall and assist with programs.
